I was so happy when my dear friend Anita, said I could photograph her little family. Her children are adorable and so photogenic! (they take after her I think!) Since moving to Sacramento, I only get to see Anita and her family when we visit the Central Coast. I miss them so much! It was so much fun playing at the park with them for a few hours!

I LOVE taking pictures. Espcially when I know the client. It's different when you are taking pictures of someone you know, love and care about. I was SO very excited to be able to take pictures of my dear sweet friend and her husband with their newborn daughter. I was even more excited when Stephanie told me the location. Shell Beach , California. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the beach. Since moving to Sacramento, I don't get the chance to go to the beach anymore. When Amy contacted me for another photo shoot, I was SO excited! I love this family. Thanks to my friend Tammy, who introduced us. I was even more excited when Amy said she wanted to go to Old Town Sacramento. I've been wanting to shoot there for awhile now. Finding families who want to travel that far is difficult. So... Thanks Amy and Jeff!

Sorry. I haven't been the best blogger lately! Besides taking pictures, I LOVE to play soccer. At the end of March, I was playing co-ed over 30 and was hurt. Turns out I have a torn ACL and 2 tears in my MCL. I've been laid up since and I have been going to Physical Therapy 2 times a week. The MCL tears are almost healed up. But.... I'll need surgery to fix the ACL. I am waiting to see the surgeon in 10 days. Hopefully she will give me good news that I can go ahead and have surgery ASAP! I need to get better and get on with life! So... I haven't been the best at keeping the blog up to date. I have had a few photo shoots since I got hurt. Luckily, my knee is stable enough for me to stand without crutches and I can walk pretty good. I just need to be careful and not walk too fast! So, I will hopefully update the blog soon . My knee still hurts when I sit at the computer for long periods of time. Thank goodness for my iphone. I don't think I could live without the internet!

Baptism Day

Recently I took a VERY last minute trip to Utah. I loaded my SUV with luggage and TONS of food. Oh, I can't forget to mention my 4 kids too. Yep, I took the 11 plus hour drive to Utah from Sacramento ALL by myself. WHy you ask? It's all in the name of my BFF Nicki. Her sweet daughter Hannah turned 8 years old and was getting baptized. It seems as if Nicki and I have missed out on so much of each others lives. We live too far away from each other. It was my wonderful husband who suggested me taking the kids out of school and going for the weekend and for a few days into the next week. And so I did. I am SO thankful I was able to witness Hannah be baptized and confirmed a member of the LDS faith. Right before sunset, Nicki, Hannah and I set out in Midway Utah, for the perfect locations to capture her special day. Her baptism dress was beautiful. Hannah shinned of happiness and was just beautiful.

This is one of my favorite moments that I captured. She was twirling around and around. She reminded me of Alice In Wonderland. I just had to share this one. More are coming. I think I was catching up on my sleep this past week! I have energy to work on the rest of the images!

Thanks Hannah. You were a little trooper. It was freezing and you didn't complain! Perfect little model. Miss you little buddy!

WOW! I couldn't believe my eyes when I read on my friends blog that Epipanie is giving away a Canon 5D Mark II camera body. Holy smokes! Wow! Did I already say that? The things that I could do with that camera! I've been drooling over this camera for quite awhile. I would love to randomly be picked as the winner! :) That would make my day, my week, heck how about make my year!

I've been slightly annoyed with my Canon camera bag as well. It fits all my lens and camera bodies nicely.BUT.... it looks so manly. I LOVE a beautiful purse. Why not have one that I can put my camera and all my gear inside. Once I found Epipanie's website, I was blown away by the stylish camera bag/purses that they sell. BEAUTIFUL! Just what I've been looking for. Now, I need to figure out what color to buy!

Cute. And SO in love. That is how I can describe these two. Rob and Cindy have been married for a year and a half. It is always a great time shooting newlyweds! They were up to anything too. Which made for great shots. Like the first shot. How romantic! He'd do anything to give her a kiss! I am glad we didn't cancel the shoot today. The sun really didn't want to come out and play today. Even though the sun was playing hide and seek, I am So pleased with the pictures!

This past weekend, we were in Red Bluff, Ca. for my son's soccer tournament. We drove past this clock to get to the field. Each time we drove past, I REALLY wanted to stop and take pictures. Luckily, I was able to some on our way out of town.

Thanks to a mutual friend, I was able to meet the Heaton Family. For this photo shoot, we went out to Bridgeport. I think we all wished we were there to splash in the water and just play. The heat was horrible. I loved how they wanted pictures in their Air Force uniforms. GO AIR FORCE! I was excited to shoot a little guy who is a ham when ever the camera is out. ( his mom told me he LOVES to have his picture taken) Don't know if it was the heat, or a stranger asking him to smile, but we didn't see a smile or a piggy any where! Kyle was so sweet with me. Despite him not wanting to smile. He was helping me out being my buddy helper when I was taking shots of Mom and Dad. Can't wait to go out again and TRY really hard to capture little Kyle smiling.... I am guessing I'll need to bring my secret weapon with me next time....

I was thrilled to shoot my first bridal photo shoot! Not happy that yet again, it was over 100 degrees outside. I don't know how Taran pulled it off, you could NOT tell that she was melting away in the heat! I shot Chris and Taran's engagement pictures. I was out of town for their wedding. Since I wasn't able to take wedding pictures, I asked Taran if she wouldn't mind dressing up in her beautiful gown for a photo shoot. Lucky me, she said yes! We had a great time. I can take pictures of this girl ALL day long. Not only is she beautiful, she's a great babysitter! Don't get any ideas... she's OURS!! Hope you like the pictures Taran!

Family Reunion- 2009

Ventura, California

McGrath State Beach

My husbands family has a family reunion each summer. This is the second year we have done this. Who doesn't like to camp with 17 kids? We had a great time spending time with each other. The kids enjoyed getting dirty and running around till the sun went down. We were missing 4 adults and 2 kids. Wish we could have had everyone there. If you look at the picture below, this is quite the group! 17 kids and 13 adults. NOT TO BAD!

This was the power shoot of all shoots! I was REALLY tired after this! It was a blast and I enjoyed every minute of it. I am still working on the rest of the photographs. I'll post more as I get them finished! I know everyone is anxious to see the finished CD. ENJOY Barron gang!

When I found out my friend Sarah was pregnant, I knew exactly what her baby shower gift would be. What Mom would turn down a free photo shoot of their newborn? :) The Watford family welcomed their little baby boy into their family two weeks ago. His two older sisters are mommies little helpers. While I was on vacation in my home town, I was able to do a little work too. I don't get to shoot many teenagers. When Savannah's mother asked me to take pictures of her, I was excited! I've known Savannah since she was a little girl. I knew that she would have a fun and creative energy for the photo shoot. She surprised me at how grown up she is now! like I said in my last post, I've been busy! From weddings, to families and even a "SURPRISE!" fathers day gift. Thanks to all the families! Here's a little sample of what I've been up to.

My good friend Anna and her husband were sealed in the Sacramento temple. It was a wonderful experience. I was happy when she asked me to take their pictures. We had a fun time! Thanks guys!

Introducing the Borjesson family! This photo shoot was supposed to be a secret! DeAnna couldn't keep it from her husband! (father's day present) I am glad she told him, we are getting together this week to include him this time!

The past week has been non stop for me! I am tired, but it is all worth it when I see the pictures I've taken! I had the best time on Thursday. We decided to jump a fence (without asking) and ended up getting run off the property. I highly recommend asking permission to use a property for a photo shoot! I really wish we could have stayed on the property, the lighting was perfect and the giant oak trees and rocks were awesome! It was challenging photographing 7 kids. I've been trying to find the perfect watermark for my pictures. I found a website called, picnik.com . I recommend everyone to go to this website and fiddle with their pictures! It is a free site where you can edit your favorite or not so favorite photos! You can upgrade the service for under $30.00. I think this site is great for the mom's I know who want to play around with their pictures. :)

My son turned 10 in February. I've been behind on getting his pictures taken. It was so nice out tonight, we decided to go to the railroad tracks and some vacant buildings. We had so much fun. There were birds flying around inside the buildings. I hate birds, which made it difficult to take pictures while I am jumping at every sound I heard! I am happy with the shoots I got. I wanted to post a few of my favorites before we go to bed.

Melena LOVES to play outside. She is very much a girly girl. She loves pink, purple and anything that has sparkles. We bought her new shoes today and surprisingly, she choose

Over thanksgiving weekend, I was able to shoot these pictures of my mother and father. My oldest sister wanted my parents to get pictures taken so we could all have a photo of them. I offered to take the pictures. I hope my family is pleased with the final product.

it was a great experience to take pictures of my mother with some of her 20 grandchildren. i am hoping to photograph her with all of them by the end of next christmas. hopefully get my dad in on it too. i don't have many photos with my grandparents. wish i did. what a wonderful gift i can give to my nieces and nephews with the moments i captured!

I was excited to go to my sister's house for Thanksgiving. Not only was I going to spend time with her and her wonderful family, we planned on taking photos of her and her kids. We had a great time. Thanks for finding this wonderful park with great trees! Thanks for being so patient with me! I am still learning and it's awesome to work with people you love!

I was excited to have a day off of school. The perfect time to take the kids out and see what I could do with my camera.

I was a bit bummed when it was overcast and cold outside.

We went out anyways.

I thought I had quite a few great shots.

Considering Kylie was screaming most of the time...
